Feel the Love of Christmas: A Taylor Family Christmas
Three decades since B.E. Taylor’s original “Christmas” album was released, his family and friends will gather to celebrate the season and his legacy.
“Feel the Love: A Taylor Family Christmas” will bring Taylor’s iconic renditions of classic Christmas tunes to the MET stage this December.
The star-studded band is led by Taylor’s son, B.C. Taylor, a Nashville-based drummer who shared the stage with his father for more than two decades. He’s joined by longtime collaborators and friends Rick Witkowski (Crack the Sky, B.E. Taylor Group), Hermie Granati (The Granati Brothers), Jamie Peck, Jeff Jimerson (Airborne, Pittsburgh Penguins), Herb Schweitzer, Dom Liberati (LIBERATI, The Calling), Anthony Rankin (ANTi, Gary Allan), Bailey Taylor, Dan Taylor, and the Taylor Sisters.
B.E. Taylor released his first holiday album, “B.E. Taylor Christmas,” in 1994. The success led to yearly tours throughout the East Coast, as well as the release of “B.E. Taylor Christmas 2” (2000) and “B.E. Taylor Christmas 3” (2012). Taylor’s energetic, gripping live performance was captured and released as “B.E. Taylor Christmas: Live at Heinz Hall” on CD and DVD in 2010. It continues rotation on PBS stations throughout the country.
“Just as I grew up with my father’s Christmas concerts, so, too, have his fans,” B.C. Taylor said. “We see folks who used to bring their children, and now they’re coming with their grandchildren. We do these shows to continue that tradition and remember the true meaning and importance of Christmas and the holiday season.”
