WVU’s annual dance concert gives audiences the opportunity to experience a wide variety of dance styles in an eclectic and electric evening of choreography. A mix of student, faculty and guest choreographers join forces to bring the best of dance to the College of Creative Arts.

This year their goal was to represent and draw inspiration from different cultures, and various disciplines of dance. From ballet to hip hop, classical Indian dance to visions of West African dance, tap and contemporary, their students, faculty, and guest artist Robin Sanders, have created works that will stir the soul, put dancing in your feet and a song in your heart.

Dance concerts within WVU’s School of Theatre and Dance are inherently varied programs that include works choreographed by faculty, guest artists, and students. These works encompass a diverse range of dance styles and genres including, but not limited to ballet, modern, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, and tap. Inclusivity and diversity are at the forefront of our program. We strive to achieve these through our curricula, productions, our student body, and the audiences we serve.
