We’ll also have special guest speakers and performances, including award-winning author of Andy and Me and Don Knotts’ brother-in-law, Daniel de Visé; entertainer and Don Knotts’ nephew Bill Knotts; and illusionist and Don Knotts’ cousin Josh Knotts.\n \nMorgantown magazine and the City of Morgantown are celebrating the 100th birthday of native son Don Knotts and the Metropolitan Theatre with a special guest speaker—Daniel de Visé, award-winning writer and journalist and Don Knotts’ brother-in-law! He will discuss his book Andy & Don, focusing on the illustrious career of Don Knotts, punctuated with entertaining video clips. A Q&A will follow his talk. De Visé’s books have been translated into Spanish, German, Dutch, and Estonian. A graduate of Wesleyan and Northwestern universities, Daniel has worked at The Washington Post, USA Today, the Miami Herald, and four other newspapers. He shared a 2001 team Pulitzer Prize and has garnered more than two dozen other national and regional journalism awards. His second book, Andy & Don (Simon & Schuster, 2015), began as a journalistic exploration into the storied career of his late brother-in-law, Don Knotts. Andy & Don is now in its 13th paperback printing.\nSaturday, July 20, 7 p.m.\nTickets are $10.00\n
